Depeche Mode released a new album, Spirit, earlier this year via Columbia. Now they have shared a cover of the David Bowie classic "Heroes," in honor of the song's 40th anniversary. Tim Saccenti directed the video of the band performing the song in the studio. Watch it below, followed by the band's upcoming tour dates.

Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan had this to say about the cover in a press release: "'Heroes' is the most special song to me at the moment. Bowie is the one artist who I've stuck with since I was in my early teens. His albums are always my go-to on tour and covering 'Heroes' is paying homage to Bowie."

Depeche Mode recently shared a black & white video for "Cover Me," which features Gahan as an astronaut in a vintage space capsule (but also in his space suit at the beach). Depeche Mode are releasing a Cover Me remix EP on October 6.
