Devon Welsh (formerly of the electronic duo Majical Cloudz) has announced his debut solo album, Dream Songs, and shared a video for a new song from it, “By the Daylight.” Dream Songs is due out August 24 via You Are Accepted. Check out the “By the Daylight” video below, followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.

The album includes two previously shared songs: “Vampires” and “I’ll Be Your Ladder.” Austin Tufts produced and recorded Dream Songs at his Montreal studio.

Following the end of Majical Cloudz Welsh took a year off from music. “I wrote songs but didn’t think about their purpose or about anything at all to do with the music industry or if I would be releasing music in the future,” Welsh explains in a press release. “I just tried to grow as a person and do some learning.”
