Dirty Projectors Cover Dylan For Levi’s Pioneer Sessions

In a case of cooperate sponsorship gone good, Levi’s (i.e. those pants you’re probably wearing) has recruited bands to “Re-craft the classic songs that inspired their sound” in a project they call Pioneer Sessions. Participating bands include Dirty Projectors, covering Bob Dylan’s “I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine,” She & Him doing Rick Nelson proud with their take on “Fools Rush In,” and The Swell Season’s unexpected disco pick, Candi Staton’s “Young Hearts Run Free.” Future sessions are slated to include The Shins, Passion Pit, and The Kills among others.
