While it may look like a throwaway image, the included photo believe it or not, is the cover art for the Dirty Projector's upcoming new album Swing Lo Magellan. There's clearly a story about what led to this particular shot, and frontman Dave Longstreth will undoubtedly be forced to talk about it in every interview he'll have from now on.

In addition to MP3 and WAV downloads, the band's website has revealed that 3000 deluxe limited-edition LPs are now available for purchase, pressed on 180-gram vinyl with a "deluxe tip-on embossed gatefold sleeve" and accompanied by a "11" by 22" embossed fold-out lyric tablet." 1000 copies of the LP will also be on sale that will include an 8″ x 8″ square vinyl pressing of the album’s lead single “Gun Has No Trigger," with a B-side "Sumerian Akkadian Cuneiform Etching of Complete Lyrics of 'Gun Has No Trigger' Translated By Dr. M. Wllis Monroe."

Swing Lo Magellan slated for release on July 10. You can listen to the included cut "Gun Has No Trigger" below.
