A new trailer for season 12 of Doctor Who has been shared, this one highlighting the season premiere “Spyfall,” which is a two-part episode that airs on New Year’s Day on BBC America. It follows the first trailer for the season. This is the second season where British actress Jodie Whittaker appears as the first ever female Doctor. Watch the trailer below.

Along with Whittaker, also returning are The Doctor’s companions: Tosin Cole as Ryan, Mandip Gill as Yasmin, and Bradley Walsh as Graham, who are all in the trailer. Chris Chibnall remains the showrunner. Among the highlights of the new season are the return of iconic foes The Cybermen and The Judoon. The new season will feature notable guest stars Stephen Fry, Sir Lenny Henry, Goran Višnjić, and Robert Glenister.

BBC America has also announced that on Sunday, January 5 they are partnering with BBC Studios and Fathom Events for a screening of “Spyfall” in 600 movie theaters across America, which will also feature an early screening of the second episode and a live Q&A with Whittaker, Cole, and Gill, transmitted from The Paley Center for Media in New York.

Whittaker also recently covered Coldplay‘s hit “Yellow” with members of the band. It was recorded for Got It Covered, a new British charity album that benefits Children in Need.
