Elliott Smith Memorial Wall Cleaned Up

On Saturday, Elliott Smith would have turned 42. In honor of the late musician’s big day, a group of anonymous artists took it on themselves to clean up the iconic mural in Silver Lake—featured on the cover of Smith’s Figure 8 album.

In addition to cleaning up the graffiti (out out damn spots!) and brightening up the black and red swoosh, the artists also added a classy stencil of Smith himself. Check it out above.
