Jun 24, 2013 Explosions in the Sky
As previously reported, instrumental rock ensemble Explosions in the Sky have collaborated with composer David Wingo to score the upcoming film Prince Avalanche. Today the band has shared a teaser video of their effort with the song “Wading.” The clip itself incorporates the shoot location of Prince Avalanche and the barren aftermath of a wildfire that devastated Bastrop, TX. Prince Avalanche stars Paul Rudd as Alvin, who leaves the city with his girlfriend’s brother, Lance (Emile Hirsch), to spend the summer repainting traffic lines on a country highway that has been destroyed by wildfires. It opens on August 9. Explosions in the Sky and David Wingo’s score will be available on August 6.
