Castle Rock is a new TV show on Hulu that brings together various settings and characters from Stephen King’s writings. Even though the show is currently streaming, with new episodes every Wednesday and only two more episodes this season, a new trailer for the show has been shared and it features a previously unreleased Father John Misty track in which he covers Link Wray’s “Fallin’ Rain” exclusively for the show. British electronic musician and producer The Haxan Cloak produced the cover, although it doesn’t sound particularly electronic, sounding more like a regular Father John Misty song. Check out the trailer below.

J.J. Abrams and Stephen King executive produce Castle Rock, which stars Andre Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Bill Skarsgard, Jane Levy, and Sissy Spacek.

A press release describes the show as such: “A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock is an original story that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”

Father John Misty (aka Josh Tillman) released a new album, God’s Favorite Customer, back in June via Sub Pop worldwide (except for Europe, where it’s on Bella Union).

Father John Misty released his last album, Pure Comedy, in April 2017 via Sub Pop (it was Under the Radar‘s #1 Album of 2017 So Far in our midyear wrap up and #9 in our final Top 100 Albums of 2017 list).

Last year Father John Misty and The Haxan Cloak teamed up for a remix of Pure Comedy‘s “Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution.”

Father John Misty appeared on the cover of Under the Radar‘s Spring 2017 Issue.

Pure Comedy was the follow-up to Father John Misty’s excellent 2015-released sophomore album, I Love You, Honeybear. I Love You, Honeybear, was Under the Radar’s #1 album of 2015. Consequently, Father John Misty was on the cover of our Best of 2015 print issue and you can read that cover story article here.
