Swedish sister alt-country/folk duo First Aid Kit are releasing a new album, Ruins, on January 19, 2018 via Columbia. Now they have done a session for BBC Radio 2 where they have covered Lorde's "Perfect Places" and have also performed the holiday classic "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and first performed by Judy Garland in the 1944 movie musical Meet Me in St. Louis). Listen below.

The duo previously shared Ruins track "It's a Shame," as well as a video for the song inspired by the Gwyneth Paltrow romantic comedy from 1998, Sliding Doors. Plus there was a lyric video for "Postcard" and another lyric video for "Fireworks."

Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Laura Veirs) produced the album in Portland, OR. The album features R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, Wilco's Glenn Kotche, and Midlake's McKenzie Smith. Ruins is the follow-up to 2014's acclaimed Stay Gold. Back in March First Aid Kit shared another new song, "You Are the Problem Here," in honor of International Women's Day.
