Swedish sister alt-country/folk duo First Aid Kit released a new album, Ruins, last month via Columbia. We previously invited their fans to submit their questions for our Fan Interview with Johanna and Klara Söderberg and we are now extending that deadline, as we'd like more questions to choose from. You now have until Friday, February 23, to email us your question ideas.

The questions can be about anything, from Ruins and their songwriting process to their touring routine and live shows to politics and pop culture. You can ask questions about being sisters and growing up in Sweden. They can be quirky questions or deep ones. If you've ever wanted to know something about First Aid Kit, if you've ever wanted to ask Johanna and Klara something, now's your chance.

Please submit questions to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Make sure to include First Aid Kit in the subject of the email.

You can submit up to 10 questions, or just one. Please include your full name and the city and state (or country if outside the U.S.) you live in. We will pick our favorites and email them to Johanna and Klara and will then publish their answers.

First Aid Kit previously shared Ruins track "It's a Shame," as well as a video for the song inspired by the Gwyneth Paltrow romantic comedy from 1998, Sliding Doors. Plus there was a lyric video for "Postcard" and another lyric video for "Fireworks." Then there was a full-on video for "Fireworks" that featured the sisters attending, dancing, and performing at a 1980s prom, complete with big hairdos and vintage prom dresses. Then there was a video of them performing "Postcard" live in a TV studio (dubbed The Rebel Hearts Club) made to look like one from the 1970s, followed by them performing "Ruins" in the same setting.

Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Laura Veirs) produced the album in Portland, OR. The album features R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, Wilco's Glenn Kotche, and Midlake's McKenzie Smith. Ruins is the follow-up to 2014's acclaimed Stay Gold. Back in March First Aid Kit shared another new song, "You Are the Problem Here," in honor of International Women's Day.

Does Joanna typically sing higher harmony (or below) on most tunes? Or does Klara sing lead, then “shift’ up to harmonize with Joanna taking the lead melody? Or do you go back and forth?

I did not expect that one can do this type of interview also. Ass, I was in shocked state after reading this interview article and started thinking how the host has executed the plan of doing interview like this with them. It is very much new to me and I liked some the modules what he has implemented in this.
