Florence and the Machine
Mercury Prize nominee Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine has already taken her native Britain—and Under the Radar‘s Summer 2009 “Please to Meet You” section—by storm. Now she’s headed to North America for the first tour of what’s sure to become full-scale invasion.
In addition to hitting a few major cities, Welsh and her band “the Machine” (a flexible group currently expanded to seven members) will be making the late night rounds. First they’ll be making their American television debut October 27th on the David Letterman show. Then the band will head to the West Coast, appearing on Los Angeles-based Jimmy Kimmel Live! October 29th.
Tour dates:
Oct 27 - New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom
Oct 30 - Los Angeles, CA - Troubadour
Nov 2 - Toronto, ONT - Mod Club
