Fred Armisen Wants Your Number
Will Interrupt Your Daily Routine With A Phone Call
Jul 23, 2014
Fred Armisen
In a new ad campaign with Heineken, Portlandia’s Fred Armisen recently called a pay phone in New York City. If someone had enough guts to actually pick up the phone and follow his instructions to “go across the street,” they literally walked right onstage in a comedy club. Most of the time, however, he was ignored.
Now he wants to take the game one step further, and he’s asking for your phone number. After submitting, you have a slim chance of having your daily routine interrupted by Fred Armisen. We’re not sure where the game goes from there, but sounds fun, right?
Watch the video below, and while you wait patiently by your phone for a call from Armisen, you can revisit our interview with him and comedy partner Carrie Brownstein from February/March cover story.
