Future Islands to Release New Single “The Chase” for Record Store Day
Recorded Straight to Vinyl at Abbey Road
Apr 16, 2015 Future Islands
Future Islands have announced that they will release a brand new single titled “The Chase” on Record Store Day. Unlike most other exclusives set for the celebration, the “one-off lacquer” will be shipped to just a single store across the globe.
Individual shops will have the opportunity to pitch themselves as the lucky retailer on the Twitter page of Abbey Road, where the track was recorded straight to vinyl. The band teased that they were working at the famed recording space last month.
For those unable to get their hands on a copy, Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC 6 program will debut the track during her show today. You can also watch the band premiere the song live at a recent gig at London’s Roundhouse down below.
