Gruff Rhys loves collecting mini bottles of shampoo from various hotels. This spring, it looks like his stash will certainly get a boost.

The Super Furry Animals/Neon Neon frontman and all-around talented solo musician is making his way across the pond to America this spring for a full headlining U.S. tour in support of Hotel Shampoo. Although the album is already available in the U.K., Rhys’ third solo effort—which highlights the musician’s warm songwriting ability and shimmering vocals—will be released stateside May 3 on Witchita Recordings.

The tour kicks off in Brooklyn’s The Knitting Factory on May 18, winds its way around the U.S. and Canada, and returns to New York City June 15 for a (nearly) bookending performance at the Mercury Lounge. Keeping with the Welsh pride, North Wales surf pop outfit Y Niwl is joining Rhys on the tour.
