Los Angeles’ HEALTH have announced a new album, Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear, and shared a new song from it, sort of title track “Slaves of Fear,” via a video for the song. Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear is due out February 8, 2019 via Loma Vista. Check out the “Slaves of Fear” video below, followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art, as well as their upcoming tour dates.

Lars Stalfors (Lil Peep, St. Vincent, Bob Moses) produced Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear and Zev Deans directed the “Slaves of Fear” video. HEALTH is Jacob Duzsik, John Famiglietti, and Benjamin Miller. Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear is the follow-up to 2015’s Death Magic. Although the band has released several one-off singles in the last year that aren’t featured on the new album, including “MASS GRAVE,” which featured the guest vocals of Soccer Mommy (aka Nashville’s Sophie Allison) and was produced by Corrin Roddick (aka one half of Canadian electro-pop duo Purity Ring).

The quasi-title track has been shared alongside an intense video by Zev Deans that sees a team of men shooting machine guns throughout dark and hopefully abandoned homes. Flashes of song titles off the new album appear, as well as a phone number at the end. I attempted to call the number but when a voice said “home healthcare denver co phone line, what’s up?,” I quickly hung up because I have a paralyzing fear of talking on the phone. In the name of journalism, though, I pulled myself together and called again. Unfortunately, no one answered this time so I left a voicemail letting them know I was writing a piece and inquiring about what the phone line was intended for.
