Here We Go Magic frontman Luke Temple released a great (and criminally underappreciated) solo album in 2013 entitled Good Mood Fool. Now he has announced a new solo album, A Hand Through The Cellar Door, which is due out November 11th via Secretly Canadian. Below is its first single, “Birds of Late December,” followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.
A Hand Through the Cellar Door is described as a “folk album” in a press release, which also promises that it’s “his most straightforward collection of song-storying tunes to date.” The press release adds: “Throughout, he creates small, confident stories with a massive scope. There are tales of dysfunctional, broken homes and of dysfunctional, broken people.” The delicate “Birds of Late December” is definitely far removed from Good Mood Fool‘s more funky and produced sounds. Here We Go Magic’s last album was 2015’s Be Small, also released via Secretly Canadian.
A Hand Through The Cellar Door Tracklist:
1. Estimated World
2. The Birds of Late December
3. Maryanne Was Quiet
4. Smashing Glass
5. The Case of Louis Warren
6. The Complicated Men of the 1940s
7. Ordinary Feeling
8. The Masterpiece Is Broken
