I’m From Barcelona Set to Release 27 Songs From Barcelona

Features One Solo Song From Every Band Member

While touring around the world in support of their two latest albums, Let Me Introduce My Friends (2006) and Who Killed Harry Houdini? (2008), the I'm From Barcelona collective's been toiling away on a very creative "solo project." It's going to be called 27 Songs From Barcelona and it's "inspired by Kiss' simultaneous release of four solo albums in 1978."

27 Songs will feature one solo cut for every band member in the Jönköping, Sweden collective. The LP will be released as a hefty triple vinyl and also for free via the indie-pop group's website. Starting Jan 27th, one track per day will be available as a download on imfrombarcelona.com.

Be sure to watch the preview video below. It feautures several snippets of songs on the full-length. According to the clip, the initial seed of the project came to band leader Emanuel Lundgren during a early morrning in the fall of 2008. It seems like this release will be a genre hopper's wet dream since Lundgren's only rule was that "there are no rules." Check out the tracklisting before the video.
