Jack White to Record the “World’s Fastest Release Record” Single
All in the Name of Record Store Day
Apr 03, 2014 Jack White
Jack White is no stranger to stunts. (We’re still in awe of his triple decker record.) But on April 19, (a.k.a. Record Store Day) he’ll pull off his greatest feat yet—recording and selling a live-to-wax version of his the title track of his forthcoming album Lazaretto. (Hello instant gratification!)
After his live recording, the masters will be taken United Record Pressing, while sleeves will be printed featuring images taken from the performance. The finished records will then be returned to Third Man Records, where they will be sold within hours. And then (one assumes) hit eBay shortly after.
