Jamie Lidell Sets His “Compass” for May 18

New Album to Feature Beck, Feist, plus Grizzly Bear and Wilco Members

Jamie Lidell's third album will be entitled Compass and is due for release May 18 via Warp. Compass features a slew of notable guests, including Beck, Feist, Gonzales, Pat Sansone of Wilco, and Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear. Lidell recorded sessions at Beck's Hudson Studios in Los Angeles at the same time that Lidell participated in Beck's Record Club project, along with Wilco and Feist. Lidell says of his all-star cast in a press release "You don't fuck with them." Recording was also done in New York City and Feist's ranch in Ontario's Niagara Escarpment.

"I wrote every song in a month," Lidell also says in a press release. "It's been an emotional couple of years, so I tapped into what I wanted to say and started writing."
