Jens Lekman Auctions Off a Personalized Song For Charity
Plus A Dinner Date
Dec 12, 2013
Jens Lekman
Ever wanted to be the subject of one of Jens Lekman’s love songs? Now you can thanks to a charity auction ran by Musikhjälpen, a Swedish telethon currently raising money to help prevent maternal death in developing countries.
“Normally the subjects of my songs are reserved for those who come into my life through that strange path that fate is,” says Lekman via his website. “But right now, for a short while, you can pay money to have me write a song about you.”
The winner will also get dinner with the Swedish troubadour in Gothenburg. “Where you tell me about yourself so I can get some inspiration (if you’re unable to get to Gothenburg then we could have a nice dinner over Skype or something),” explains Lekman. “Then I’ll write the song, produce and record it and you get it in a nice box to keep.”
