Johnny Marr is releasing a new album, Call the Comet, on June 15 via New Voodoo. Previously he shared the album’s first single, “The Tracers.” Now he has shared another song from the album, “Hi Hello,” via a video for the song. Marr co-directed the video with Mat Bancroft and it features Marr performing the song in a park. Watch it below, followed by his upcoming tour dates.
Marr had this to say about the album in a previous press release: “Call the Comet is my own magic realism. It’s set in the not-too-distant future and is mostly concerned with the idea of an alternative society. The characters in the songs are searching for a new idealism, although there are some personal songs in there too. It’s something that people like me can relate to.”
The former guitarist of The Smiths last released a solo album in 2014, with Playland. Last December he shared a new song not featured on the new album, “The Priest,” via a video for the song. It was a spoken word track featuring British actress Maxine Peake that tackled homelessness.

I think he has a nice tone to his music. I like the classical looking gazebo he is in. It connects to his music very well.
I kind of get a vibe of time passing by while we are still here type feeling. I am not sure if this makes sense but what I mean is sometimes people wait forever for something special because nothing else is appealing.
If that time comes then its bright but if it doesn’t there was no need to waste time doing other things because it would have been worthless.
