Detroit singer/songwriter/guitarist Anna Burch released her debut solo album, Quit the Curse, back in February via Polyvinyl. Previously “Asking 4 a Friend” was one of our Songs of the Week and we also posted the album’s title track, “Quit the Curse” and the video for “With You Every Day” (Burch also previously shared videos for “Tea-Soaked Letter” and “2 Cool 2 Care”).

Fellow Michigan native Fred Thomas is also signed to Polyvinyl and after discovering Burch he sent some of her demos to the label with the note “This is not a drill. You need to hear this.” The label agreed and are releasing her debut album.
