Kevin Morby has shared a new song, "24th Amendment." It's part of an upcoming compilation album, 27: The Most Perfect Album, in which different artists write songs about the 27 amendments to the U.S. Constitution. It's due out September 18 and is being put together by More Perfect, a political podcast from WNYC Studios. The album also features Cherry Glazzer, Palehound, Briana Marela, TORRES, Sons of an Illustrious Father, Dolly Parton, Devendra Banhart, and more. The 24th Amendment was about the elimination of poll taxes. Listen to "24th Amendment" below via Billboard.

More Perfect creator and host Jad Abumrad had this to say to Billboard about the album: "The mission of this album is to take these sometimes forgotten words and animate them through the power of music. These 27 amendments not only outline our basic rights as Americans, but they also show a country changing, evolving, re-imagining itself. Striving (and not always succeeding) to be better. These songs will be a way to say that these words matter."

Morby released a new album, City Music, in 2017 via Dead Oceans (which followed 2016's Singing Saw). City Music made our Top 100 Albums of 2017 list.

This song is so beautiful. I love the music of this song very much. It is really so very smoothing to listen to this. I have added this song to my playlist. I listen to this song when I am riding a bike in the morning and it is very refreshing.
