LCD Soundsystem Final Show Documentary to Screen at Sundance

SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS Records Final Day

The 2012 Sundance Film Festival has announced that it will be screening, SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS, a documentary directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace that records LCD Soundsystem in its last days as a band. The official synopsis states that the film "follows LCD Soundsystem front man James Murphy over a crucial 48-hour period, from the day of their final gig at Madison Square Garden to the morning after, the official end of one of the best live bands in the world." The film is set to be shown as part of the festival's non-competition "Spotlight" category.
