LCD Soundsystem Plans Epic Farewell Show
Get Your Hankies Ready April 2
This weekend, James Murphy announced he’s finally packing in LCD Soundsystem. While the announcement is certainly shocking, it’s by no means a shock, as Murphy has been hinting since the release of last year’s This is Happening that that the end is in sight. So, disappointing as it is, you’ve got to give Murphy credit—at least he’s going out on top.
The band will take their final bows April 2 with a three-hour show titled “The Long Goodbye.” The evening will include a choir, horns, and a string section. Special guests (to be revealed later) will be on hand—all clad in black and white.
Liquid Liquid is slated to open. Tickets go on sale here on February 11.
