Under the Joke Title "Richard Pryor"

CHVRCHES
During a number of recent performances synth trio CHVRCHES have been including a brand new song into their setlist. Delivering the track under a few clever joke titles including “Richard Pryor,” “Gene Wilder,” and “Eddie Murphy,” the Glasgow natives performed the song live during their recent appearance at Austin City Limits. An audio rip of the performance’s webcast has subsequently landed online to replay.
In an interview with Classic Pop magazine (via NME) bandmember Iain Cook says that in regards to following up their debut LP The Bones of What You Believe, “We’re not going to put out anything we aren’t happy with. That could take four months, it could take two years. It’s too early to talk about new songs, because nothing is finished. We do most of our work in the studio together – it’s fine for one person to come up with something, but it’s not a CHVRCHES song until it’s been bounced back and forth between the three of us.”
