Low‘s excellent new album, Ones and Sixes, came out on Sub Pop last fall. The band have a long history of releasing Christmas songs and even had a whole EP of them in 1999, the appropriately titled Christmas. Now they have shared 2016’s offering, a new standalone holiday single entitled “Some Hearts (at Christmas Time).” Listen below. The band is also embarking on a Christmas tour of the U.K. and those dates are below too.

The band issued this Christmas message to accompany the song:

“To friends who have moved away and friends who have passed on this year. To one and all, especially those who are alone, we wish you a Merry Christmas and new hope for the new year. May we all find ways to lift each other.

With love,

Mimi, Alan and Steve”

Also be sure to read our 2015 print magazine interview with Low’s Alan Sparhawk about Ones and Sixes, as well as our 2015 digital magazine bonus Q&A with Sparhawk.
