Last year Jason Molina, best known for his work in Songs: Ohia and the Magnolia Electric Co., passed away as a result of alcohol abuse-related organ failure. On April 22, a number of Molina’s musical friends and contemporaries will release a special tribute compilation titled Farewell Transmission. Among the mix of contributions are My Morning Jacket, who have shared a cover of the album’s title track. Scroll down below to listen and view the full tracklist of the compilation. A portion of the proceeds from the record will go to MusiCares, which supports artists dealing with depression, addiction, disability, and other health issues. Portions of the proceeds will also go to Molina’s family.
