Listen: New Wild Flag Track, “Romance”
First Single Off Self-titled LP
Jun 21, 2011 Wild Flag
Supergroup Wild Flag—which features the Riot Grrrl-minded musicians behind Sleater-Kinney, Minders, and Helium—previewed their debut single “Romance” last Saturday on “The Cherry Blossom Clinic,” a show on Jersey City’s independent radio station WFMU. The animated punk rock track is off the group’s self-titled debut LP, which isn’t due out until Sept. 13 on Merge, and, of course, Carrie Brownstein’s ringing vocals are in full control. Welcome back, grrrls.
