Listen: Phantogram - “Bill Murray”
New Album Voices Out Feb. 18
Feb 04, 2014 Phantogram
With their new album Voices slated for release later this month on Feb. 18, New York duo Phantogram have premiered another piece of the record with “Bill Murray,” a track that makes deliberate reference to the famed actor and comedian. “We named it ‘Bill Murray’ because we always pictured a sad Bill Murray for the visuals of that song,” says Phantogram’s Josh Carter in an interview with The Atlantic. “We want him to be in the music video.” Given Murray’s reputation to appear in the most random of places and generally be an awesome sport with his fans, the likelihood of this happening isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
