She & Him's Zooey Deschanel (you might remember her as Joseph Gordon-Levitt's love interest in 500 Days of Summer and Ben Gibbard's love interest in real life) already has the retro sensibility down with her cooing vocals and A-line dresses, so covering the Buddy Holly classic "Oh Boy" is a piece of cake. The throwback folk-pop duo captures Holly's sprite spirit while infusing the track with a head-bopping bounciness that leaves a sugary-sweet aftertaste. "Oh Boy" is included on the Buddy Holly tribute album Rave On Buddy Holly, which also features The Black Keys, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Florence + The Machine, Patti Smith, and many, many others. Rave On doesn't arrive until June 28, but She & Him's "Oh Boy" is available for streaming below.

Also be sure to pick up the latest issue of Under the Radar, Music vs. Comedy, which includes a photospread of Community's Danny Pudi portraying the bespectacled Godfather of Rock and Roll—the resemblance is uncanny.
