Listen: Tears for Fears - “My Girls” (Animal Collective Cover)
New Album Out Next Year
Dec 17, 2013 Tears for Fears
To help kickstart the creative process of working on their first record since their 2004 reunion album Everybody Loves A Happy Ending, new wave veterans Tears for Fears began recording a number of covers from some of their favorite contemporary artists. Previously sharing takes on Arcade Fire’s “Ready to Start” and Hot Chip’s “And I Was A Boy From School,” the duo has now shared a version of Animal Collective‘s “My Girls,” taken off the band’s 2009 LP Merriweather Post Pavilion.
Click below to listen the track, paired with a visual directed by artist/musician Vinyl Williams, the son of iconic composer John Williams. Tears for Fears’ new album is scheduled for release sometime next year.
