Britpop and Madchester survivors The Charlatans released a new album, Different Days, today via BMG. The band have previously shared the album's first single, "Plastic Machinery," which features the legendary guitarist of The Smiths, Johnny Marr, along with Brian Jonestown Massacre frontman Anton Newcombe, as well as a video for the song. Now The Charlatans have shared a remix of the song by fellow countrymen Sleaford Mods, who deconstruct the song. Listen to it below, followed by the band's upcoming tour dates.
Different Days is The Charlatans' thirteenth album. It was co-produced by Jim Spencer at the band's studio in Cheshire, England. As well as Matt and Newcombe, the album also features Paul Weller, crime writer Ian Rankin, and writer/actress Sharon Horgan.
