Listen to Joanna Newsom’s New Track “‘81”
Off Her Forthcoming Triple Album
Jan 26, 2010 Joanna Newsom
Drag City will now release Joanna Newsom’s Have One on Me, worldwide on February 23rd, instead of the staggered release schedule we heard about earlier this month. And today, you can hear one song from her third LP. Have One on Me is also a hulking triple album by the way. Whoa!
It’s strange to hear the simple garden party acoustic “‘81” out of context (and that’s a boatload of context), but we’ll take what we can get. Regardless, the haunting voice-and-harp track is streaming on Drag City’s site. Also, that’s the boring black cover art below. Really pales in comparison to this don’t it?
