Minor Victories is a supergroup featuring Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, Editors’ Justin Lockey, and Hand Held Cine Club’s James Lockey. The band’s self-titled debut album is due out June 3 via Fat Possum in the U.S. (and [PIAS] in the rest of the world). Now they have shared another song from the album, “Breaking My Light.” Listen to the near-7-minute-long song below via a funny little black & white video featuring the song playing on a reel-to-reel tape machine in a pub while an older man drinks his pint of beer.

The project was announced last year. Previously the group shared their first single, “A Hundred Ropes,” via its video, as well as the song “Folk Arp” and the laser cat featuring video for “Scattered Ashes (Song for Richard),” a song that features guest vocals from The Twilight Sad’s James Graham. The album also includes a previously announced duet between Goswell and Sun Kil Moon’s Mark Kozelek.
