“Love for Levon” Benefit Concert Announced for October 3
New Jersey Concert to Feature My Morning Jacket, Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples , and more

“Love for Levon,” a concert to benefit the legacy The Band’s late Levon Helm, has been announced for October 3, 2012 at the Izod Center in New Jersey. The lineup boasts major acts such as My Morning Jacket, Ray LaMontagne, Gregg Allman, Patty Griffin, The Levon Helm Band, Mavis Staples, Joe Walsh, Lucinda Williams, and more.
All net proceeds will go to help Levon Helm’s estate keep ownership of his home, legendary barn and studio, and to continue The Midnight Ramble Sessions. Rambles of the past have featured musicians such as Elvis Costello, Kris Kristofferson, and My Morning Jacket, among countless others.
Keith Wortman, who most recently produced “We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash” is producing the event with GRAMMY Award-winners Don Was and Larry Campbell serving as co-musical directors.
Pre-sale for Citi Card holders begins today (Friday 24) 10 a.m. EDT, and general public onsale begins August 29 at 11 a.m. EDT. You can purchase tickets here.
