The new video for M.I.A.'s debut single "Born Free" is political statement wrapped in a HIGHLY violent, NSFW short film. Watch it on her site or embedded here through Vimeo. It's been removed from YouTube in the U.S., according to M.I.A.'s Twitter. Romain Gavras directed the awesome vid. "Born Free" is also streamable via the singer's label, N.E.E.T.
In related news, Ms. Maya Arulpragasam is running Pitchfork's Twitter page all day today. She already posted the tracklist for her upcoming, untitled LP. (Via P4k.)
