Trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack recently released a new EP, Ritual Spirit, and shared a video for its single “Take It There,” a song that features longtime collaborator Tricky. Now the duo has shared a video for “Voodoo in My Blood,” a track that features Mercury Prize-winning hip-hop collective Young Fathers. The “Take It There” video starred Oscar-nominated actor John Hawkes and this one stars Rosamund Pike, who has also been nominated for an Oscar (for 2014’s Gone Girl) and got her start as a Bond girl in Pierce Brosnan’s swan song as 007, 2002’s Die Another Day. In the strange sci-fi clip Pike is in a subway tunnel when she’s confronted by a creepy floating metallic orb, like something out of Doctor Who.

Ringan Ledwidge directed the clip. Pike jokingly commented on the video in a press release: “Am I involved?... Someone said the girl in the video looks like me. I have been to the Joe Strummer subway. I did have a strange encounter there once.”

Ritual Spirit also features collaborations with Roots Manuva and Azekel. Massive Attack’s Robert “3D” del Naja wrote and produced the EP with long-term studio collaborator Euan Dickinson. A second Massive Attack EP that’s been written and co-produced by Massive Attack’s other member, Grant “Daddy G” Marshall, is scheduled to be released in the spring. An album will follow later in the year.
