
Menomena Announces Fourth LP, Issue “Pilgrim’s Progress” Single

Portland experimental rockers Menomena are finally set to release their fourth album on July 27 through Barsuk (July 26 in Europe via City Slang). It’s entitled Mines and is the sucessor to the band’s excellent 2007 LP, Friend and Foe. The trio is also issuing the track “Pilgrim’s Progress” on a limited-edition split 7-inch with hometown pals The Helio Sequence for Record Store Day (April 17). Stream it at Pitchfork.
Menomena also performed the brooding Mines cut “Queen Black Acid” for the Pitchfork.tv show “Surveillance” at ATP NY last fall. Watch it below:
