
Merge Announces Initial Line-up for 20th Anniversary Festival
Merge XX to go down in North Carolina in July

In honor of their 20th anniversary, the seminal indie label Merge Records will be presenting a five-day festival in North Carolina entitled XX Merge. The festival will take place July 22 - 26th. Four nights will take place at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC, and one night will go down at Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill, NC, on UNC Campus.
The festival will feature over 25 Merge artists, including Superchunk, Spoon, Conor Oberst, Spent, M. Ward, The Rosebuds, Destroyer, Guv'ner, Polvo, Pipe, and The Broken West. More artists will be announced. "Many more bands both expected and unexpected still to-be-announced!" says Merge's official press release.
Five day passes cost $150 and go on sale today (April 8th) via www.catscradle.com and www.mergerecords.com.
