The maudlin superstar known as Morrissey is releasing Swords, a B-sides compilation, October 26th in the U.K. through Polydor and November 3rd in the U.S. on Universal Music Enterprises. A deluxe edition of the LP amasses a second CD of live songs entitled Live In Warsaw. That disc includes a cover of The Smiths' "You Just Haven’t Earned It Yet, Baby." That awkward, somewhat scared photo of Moz is the cover.

Swords features 18 songs, all culled from singles from the pop singer's last four releases. The tracks were penned with members of his backing crew. Here's some other juicy morsels of information: "Munich Air Disaster 1958" is about a plane crash that killed members of the Manchester United soccer team and Pretenders leader Chrissie Hynde lends her pipes on "Shame Is the Name." Also, there's a live take of Moz covering Bowie's "Drive-In Saturday." In the performance he tweaks the lyrics so he's singing about The New York Dolls instead of The Rolling Stones.

Morrissey already has a European trek on the books, but now he's hitting the West Coast when that's all wrapped up. Sword's tracklisting and the super busy itinerary are both below. In other Moz news, make sure to boycott this.

Thanks. It’s updated. The second disc’s title wasn’t in the original press release.
