Neil Patrick Harris to Star in Smurfs: The Movie + Glee Episode
Film Begins Production in April

Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris is no stranger to the absurd (see Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog). Now he’ll be taking that to the next level, starting in Smurfs: The Movies.
However, Harris will escape having to perform in blue-face (or the CG equivalents) as reported by Deadline, he’s set to play the lead live-action character. Hope that’s not a smurfing let down.
In other NPH news, he’ll also be staring in an episode of Glee directed by Joss Whedon. In it, Harris plays Bryan Adam, a high school nemesis of New Directions leader Will Schuester, who is hellbent on cutting the arts programs. Reveals The Ausiello Files, “Flashback scenes will show Bryan picking up girls and getting all the cool solos,” says their source, “while Will sits off in the sidelines.”
