Neko Case Argues With Cellphone Filming Audience Members
Seriously People, Just Turn Them Off
Oct 24, 2013
Neko Case
As reported by Stereogum, Neko Case really doesn’t like photography at her shows. Like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Savages, and She & Him, the singer/songwriter vocally shares her distain for the practice of sharing every second of every show on social media. Two nights ago in Cincinnati, Case became increasingly irritated with the audience of iPhone photographers, cutting songs short, and arguing with individual members of the crowd.
“Just put away the cameras,” she told the audience. “It isn’t going to kill you, but it might kill me.”
As reported by CityBeat, the crowd wasn’t thrilled by the truncated performance, many people opting to leave early.
