Castrée was diagnosed with inoperable, stage four pancreatic cancer just four months after giving birth to their daughter. Elverum has set up a GoFundMe page to gather donations to help with medical bills and other costs, as neither of them have been able to work while dealing with both treatments and taking care of a baby. Neutral Milk Hotel are now also helping out and are hosting an auction with proceeds going to Castrée.
