New Image of Ben Affleck as Batman Unveiled at Comic-Con, + Nick Cage Superman Movie Doc Trailer
Plus Watch the Trailer for Documentary on Tim Burton's Ill-Fated and Unfinished Superman Lives Film
Down in San Diego lots of geek-related teases and reveals are going on at this year’s Comic-Con. One of the more talked about pieces of promotion is a brand new image of Ben Affleck as Batman, who will be going toe-to-toe with Henry Cavill’s Superman in Zach Synder’s Man of Steel sequel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. While the new pic doesn’t show off the full costume, the profile shot gives another great look at Synder’s grizzled interpretation of the Dark Knight.
In other comic-related news a trailer has surfaced for an upcoming documentary titled The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? For those that don’t know the unusual story, Tim Burton was once the process of filming his own Superman film called Superman Lives. Based on a screenplay by Kevin Smith the movie was set to star Nicolas Cage as the Son of Krypton before the whole thing was inevitably scrapped. Going in depth into what could have been, director Jon Schnepp’s investigative work features interviews with Burton, Smith, and other crew members, as well as test footage, concept art, and loads of unseen artifacts.
