Contradicting earlier reports that their album would be delayed until next year, a representative of U2 has revealed that the veteran band's 13th full-length will still see release in 2014. Last week Billboard revealed that the band had recently booked a new bout of recording sessions with producers Paul Epworth and Ryan Tedder, and that this extended time recording would push back the planned summer release of the record to 2015. According to a source of The Guardian however, this is not the case. "U2's album is planned for this year [and] is still on track and touring plans haven't been confirmed yet," the rep says.

Earlier this year U2 premiered "Invisible," a new track that will be featured on the forthcoming effort. The band performed the song live on the rooftop of Rockefeller for the premiere episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
