While depictions of the future in movies have a less than stellar track-record, as evident in this fan-made infographic, shoemaking conglomerate Nike apparently has been busy trying to make as least one what-if scenario of the 21st century into reality: the self-lacing shoes from the Back to the Future series. Confirmed by a new promo video (can check out McFly’s Closet below), Nike’s new MAG line of shoes are taking their inspiration from the much-coveted pair worn by Michael J. Fox. When exactly the shoes will hit store shelves is still a bit of a mystery, but count on it being before the release of Jaws 19.
