Oasis Documentary From “Amy” Producers Gets Title, Release Date, and Poster
Supersonic Due Out This October
A documentary on Oasis is being made by the producers behind the acclaimed Oscar-winning Amy Winehouse documentary Amy. Now the film's title and release date have been announced and there's a poster too. Amy director Asif Kapadia is executive producing and Amy producer James Gay Rees is producing, with Mat Whitecross directing. The documentary will be titled Supersonic, named after the Oasis 1994 single (which also appeared on their debut album of the same year, Definitely Maybe) and will be due out in U.K. cinemas in October via Lorton Distribution (there's no word yet on a U.S. release). The documentary is said to include unreleased archival footage. Above is its first poster.
