Saddle Creek has announced the upcoming release of Orenda Fink's second solo effort, Ask the Night, on October 6th. Recorded in Omaha, Nebraska with Stephen Bartolomei (Mal Madrigal) and in Athens, Georgia with Andy LeMaster (Now It's Overhead), the 10-track album is reportedly a reflection on Fink's Southern roots where here previous solo album, Invisible Ones, was more inspired by her travels through India, Cambodia and Haiti.

Ask the Night features contributions from both Bartolomei and LeMaster as well as Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Dan McCarthy (McCarthy Trenching), and Adrianne Verhoeven (Dri, The Anniversary, Art in Manila).  (www.orendafink.com)
