Owen Pallett Scores “Fourteen Actors Acting”
Staring: James Franco, Matt Damon, Natalie Portman, and More
Owen Pallett has lent his skills with the strings to Beirut, The Last of the Shadow Puppets, and Arcade Fire—in addition to helming his own superb solo project. Recently, the orchestral pop maestro found a new set of collaborators—actors. In the project curated by the New York Times called “Fourteen Actors Acting,” notable thespians—including Tilda Swinton, Natalie Portman, Matt Damon and Michael Douglas among others—silently portrayed famous dramatic types in black and white footage. Their actions were then scored by Pallett’s music. The result? Pure movie magic.
